Oracle Database Administrator

Client:

Leading and long-established private bank with a very strong presence in Switzerland as well as globally.

Position:

As an Oracle DBA, you provide continuous operative support to the infrastructure, based on state of the art solutions/technologies and troubleshooting (incident management), as well as implementing change requests (RFC) in line with change management.

Responsabilities:

• Monitoring, tuning, backup of the Oracle DB 
• Optimize resources utilization by analyzing and proposing improvements on the database level in conjunction with the life cycle management of applications hosted
• Recovery and troubleshooting in the 2nd level area including on-call service
• Development and implementation of automation solutions for database operation
• Collaboration in the further development and optimization of existing infrastructures and active support of migration projects
• Collaboration in projects and planning of technical tasks

Profile:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5 years of practical experience in the field of Oracle DB engineering and operations
• Experience with Linux (RHEL) and AIX know-how is required
• Knowledge in the area of Postgres, MS SQL, is an advantage
• Fluency in English, fluency in German is a plus
